Q: How can I get to Raffles Hall?
A: Take 96 at Clementi Bus Interchange, 95 opposite Buona Vista MRT Station (outside MOE) and 151 from Hougang Central.
Q: Where should I alight?
A: On 95, alight at Yusok Ishak House (YIH). On 96 or 151, alight opposite YIH.
Q: How would I know which one is Yusof Ishak House?
A: On 95, look out for Cheers to your left. On 151, look out for Subway and Old Chang Kee to your left. On 96, after climbing a long hill in NUS, stop after Visitors' Lodge.
Q: Then? Then?
A: There will be nice signs with one-headed arrows to show you the way.
Q: What if I get lost??
A: Then you can be the star in our next season of Lost. Sorry lame. LOL. Call Kelvin or Jiun Haw (refer to the "Contact Us" page for telephone numbers).
Q: What do I do once I reach Raffles Hall?
A: There will be a reception table at the entrance of Raffles Hall. Walk up and err.. register.
Q: What happens to me after that?
A: You can check into your room and prepare it for your stay.
Q: What can I do when my room is sparkling clean but I have nothing to do?
A: Come back to the reception table and we will have some slightly-less-exciting-than-orientation activities waiting for you. =)
Q: Who can I go to for help on other days?
A: For any needs except money, boyfriend or girlfriend, you can ask us at the reception table.
Q: How long is the orientation?
A: Just like any other halls, the Raffles Experience spans an exhilarating 2 weeks’ starting from 28th July, packed with only the best stuff!
Q: What do I need for orientation?
A: Plenty of T-shirts (bring more dark coloured ones), equally plenty of shorts, a set of formal wear, sandals and covered shoes, swim wear and goggles, stationeries, toiletries, undergarments and other necessities.
Q: Is that all? How about food? Fooooood??
A: Fret not, throughout orientation, you will have food coupons which you can exchange for your meals!
Q: Err.. err.. I'm out of questions. Can I get back to you later?
A: Sure thing! You can send an email with your enquiries to rhoc0809@singapore.com. =)
Your Questions:
Guest: Hi... is the orientation conducted inside the hall compound ?
Sam: Orientation is conducted partly in the hall. we will familiarize you with the campus and your faculty as well.
Guest: Are we going to stay at the camp or at our respective room in the hall at night ?
Sam: You will start staying in your room from the day you check-in.
Guest2: There are no air-conditioned rooms in Raffles Hall?!
Kah Onn: Yup. And all halls don't have air-conditioned rooms. Only PGP Residence has air-con rooms, with room rates 3 TIMES the hall double room rate.
